The main objective of arranging FDPs is to introduce effective teaching learning methods which can be beneficial to faculties as well students and improve basic knowledge in various fields. It also aims to make aware students and faculties about current trend in an industry. Recently department has arranged FDPs on Embedded System Design, System Design Using VHDL, How to Guide a Research/Project and Dsk6713 and Code Composer Studio.
FDP on Embedded System Design
The Electronics & Communication Department of Parul University had organized an FDP on Practical Lab session for Embedded System Design for Faculties. The main objective of the program was to introduce effective teaching learning methods for embedded system lab, device demonstration and utilization of procured Embedded Kit (ARM7). Mr. Chintan from Edutech learning solution Pvt. Ltd conducted an FDP. He introduced his company along with embedded system. He had discussed about embedded systems specifically ARM7 and its variants, its architectures and some of the programming tools. He demonstrated kits and how to utilized Kit in the lab for interfacing LED, relay, LCD, Key, Matrix keyboard etc. Then hands on session had been conducted in same lab.
How to Guide a Research/Project
The Electronics & Communication Department of Parul University had organized an FDP on “How to Guide a Research/Project”. Prof. Asim Banerjee, DAIICT, Gandhinagar was Resource person. He had conducted the FDP. The main objective of the program was to increase effectiveness of mentorship in Project, Dissertation and Research. He started a talk about Role of mentor in project. He had explained same with some good live examples. He had given explanation about how a mentor can motivate student? He discussed about mentorship and how to improve mentorship level? He had discussed about different types of Guides also. He concluded his talk with guiding mechanism and guiding structure.
