Hands-on laboratory science experiences are critical to the learning process across all areas of study, beginning with kindergarten and continuing through post-secondary education. Research has shown that students who engage in well-designed laboratory experiences develop problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, as well as gain exposure to reactions, materials, and equipment in a lab setting. Sustained investments in hands-on experiences help inspire students to further their education and prepare them for high-technology careers by fostering skills sought by potential employers.
Each learning process can grossly be divided into two parts viz. class room teaching and demonstrative teaching. For the demonstrative teaching laboratories are essential parts. Theoretical knowledge is to be supported by proper demonstrations and practical work. For that purpose proper laboratory infrastructure is essential. Here the students are allowed to carry out different practicals which enhance their skills through the observation as well as practical done. This in turn benefits them in understanding the concepts of the respective courses.
Parul Institute of Ayurved has seven laboratories as – Anatomy Laboratory cum Dissection Hall, Laboratory of Kriya Sharira (Physiology), Laboratory of DravyagunaVigyan, Laboratory of Pharmacognosy, Laboratory of Roga Nidana (Pathology), Laboratory of Rasa Shastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana, Laboratory for Ksharsutra & parasurgical procedures.
