An educational workshop is a meeting at which a group of people engage in intensive discussion and activity on a particular subject or project for improvisation in order to explore aspects of teaching and research.
Workshops get participants fully involved in the learning process: small and large group discussions, activities & interactive exercises, opportunities to practice applying the concepts that are presented. Workshops are more “hands-on” in nature and oriented to skill building for the participants as they work, think, do, process and create during the workshop. At Parul University delegates from different academic and industrial set up meet together over a regular period of time to concentrate on a defined area of concern.
Workshops update and deepen the knowledge of teachers in the relevant subject and focus on teaching methodologies. Workshops identify gaps and weaknesses in planning, policy formulation and analysis and program implementation. Moreover workshops help the teachers to learn further and do research in their respective areas of specialization.
